William H. Doelle, President. Dr. Doelle has over 30 years experience as a professional archaeologist. He has worked extensively in Mexico, Guatemala, and the North American Southwest. His primary research interest is the demographic history of the Greater Southwest. Dr. Doelle served six years as Treasurer of the archaeology Division of the American Anthropological Association, and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Society for American Archaeology.
Al Arpad, Vice President. Mr. Arpad joined the Center's Board of Directors in 2006. An attorney with Fennemore Craig in Phoenix, he has a long-standing interest in the archaeology of the Southwest. Mr. Arpad was instrumental in helping the Center set up its archaeological conservation easement program.
Bernard G. Siquieros, Secretary. Elected to the Center for Desert Archaeology Board in 2007. Mr. Siquieros is currently the Project Administrator for the Tohono O'odham Nation Cultural Center and Museum. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Tohono O'odham Community College.
Peter C. Boyle, Treasurer. Dr. Boyle is an active volunteer at the Center where he particularly enjoys ceramic analysis. Trained in both Biopsychology and Biochemistry, he was Vice President of Research at Kraft Foods before retiring to Tucson in 2002. He now pursues his long standing interest in Archaeology and is currently President of the Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society.
Diana L. Hadley, member-at-large. Ms. Hadley is an environmental historian of the United States-Mexico borderlands area and has a long involvement with historic and cultural preservation in the Southwest and Mexico. She is a senior editor and translator of Spanish colonial documents in the Office of Ethnohistorical Research, a division of the Arizona State Museum at the University of Arizona. |
